On 04/02/2017, at 8:32 AM, Augusta University Police made contact with the driver of a 1999 Honda CR-V parked on Goss Lane at the intersection of RA Dent Blvd.  Officer observed the both tires on the passenger side of the vehicle were flat and that the driver was very nervous and crying.  The driver stated the vehicle struck the curb and that what caused the tires to go flat.  It was also noted by the officer a strong odor of Marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.  A search of the driver found the following items on his person:  a Marijuana pipe, a Methamphetamine pipe, (4) Methamphetamine pills; (4) small clear plastic baggies containing, Marijuana, Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Alprazolam and Lorazepam.  The drugs tested positive and were taken as evidence.  The driver was arrested, processed and booked into the Richmond County Jail on the following charges:  Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Alprazolam, and Possession of Lorazepam.  Anyone with additional information about this incident may contact the AU Police Department at 706-721-2911.
