On 02/23/2018, at 5:34 PM, Augusta University Police responded to the Summerville Campus Police Substation, in reference to possible incident of dating violence.  Contact was made with both parties.  The female victim (Augusta University Student) stated that she drove her ex-boyfriend to the Summerville Campus and parked at the Police Substation to request assistance.  The victim went to the Police Substation, but the office was closed.  She continued to Allgood Hall, the subject continued to follow her.  The victim told the subject several times to stop following her, but the subject continued, in an attempt to stop the subject. The victim then pepper sprayed him.  The subject continued to follow the victim into Allgood Hall.  They both departed Allgood Hall, walking back to the Police Substation.  While attempting to call Augusta University Police for assistance the subject grabbed the victim’s hand knocking her phone to the ground.  The victim completed a written statement, but stated she did not want to prosecute.  The male subject refused to make a statement, and was escorted off campus.  Anyone with additional information about this incident may contact the Augusta University Police Department at 706-721-2911.
