On 07/28/2017, at 5:01 PM, Augusta University Police responded to the Augusta University Medical Center in reference to missing narcotics (Fentanyl) from Surgical ICU. A potential suspect was identified and questioned by Hospital Staff. The suspect stated she did take the missing narcotics earlier in the day. Hospital Staff informed Augusta University Police they did not wish to prosecute at this time. The missing narcotics (Fentanyl) was turned over to the Hospital Pharmacy. The subject, an AUMC employee, resigned her position at AUMC, and was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning. No other action was taken by AUPD.
