On 11/08/2017, at 12:30 AM, an Augusta University Police Officer observed a vehicle illegally parked in a handicapped space adjacent to the 2000 building of the University Village apartment complex. Officer approached the vehicle an detected the odor of Marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The officer also observed a green leafy substance on the center console. Contact was made with the vehicle operator in apartment 2112. The vehicle operator (an Augusta University student) was escorted to his vehicle, the Marijuana was taken, and tested positive for THC. The student was instructed not to parking in a handicap space, issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana and released.
