On 01/13/2018, at 4:00 PM, Augusta University Police responded to the Augusta University Medical Center 4th Floor ICU Waiting Room in reference to a domestic incident. Officers made contact with the female victim, the suspect (the victim’s husband) had departed the area. The victim state that her husband and slapped her during an argument this date at approximately 3:45 PM. A witness stated he saw the suspected slapped the victim. A search for the suspect was conducted with negative results. A video of the incident was obtained from AUMC Security Office which showed the suspect slap the victim. A warrant was obtained for Simple Battery Family Violence charging the suspect.
