On 02/19/2018, at 10:43 AM, Augusta University Police responded to Augusta University Medical Center room 7673, in reference to a sexual battery. The victim/patient stated that on 02/16/2018, at 4:30 PM, her doctor came into her room unaccompanied and stated he would be conducting a rectal exam. During the exam the doctor put his hand into the victim’s vagina. The victim complained to the doctor, the doctor completed the rectal exam then departed the victim’s room. Written statements were given by the victim and doctor. This case is currently under investigation, no arrest has been made.
