On 05/22/2018, at 5:01 PM, Augusta University Police responded to the Augusta University Professional Building 1, in reference to a man aggressively following a woman. Officers made contact with the victim and two witnesses. The victim stated that subject followed her from the Professional Building to the parking lot 3. The subject stated to the victim, “nice legs” and asked her for $5.00, and continued to follow her to her vehicle. The victim then ran back to the Professional Building. The subject chased her back into the building, where he backed her into a corner, and would not let her out. The victim started to scream, a co-worker came out into the hallway, startling the subject, backing off the victim, allowing her out of the corner. Officers questioned the subject about the incident, the subject gave a false name and tried to leave. The subject was arrested and booked into the Richmond County Jail on the following charges: Stalking, False Imprisonment, Giving False Name, and Criminal Trespass.
