On 05/02/2019, at 1:26 AM, Augusta University Police Department responded the Augusta University Medical Center, Emergency Room, in reference to a combative patient. The responding officer found the offender/patient actively fighting four staff members. The offender/patient was restrained and placed in a hospital bed. During the incident the staff members and the officer reported injuries to include loss of consciousness, concussion, strikes to the face, arms, back and shoulder and scratches.
