On July 4th, 2019 at approximately 7:09 PM, Augusta University Police Department I received a call from the Augusta University medical Center staff in reference to a possible assault. The Officers met with the victim/patient and she stated that she was in her room arguing with her husband, the offender/visitor, when he pushed her off of the hospital bed onto the floor. Contact was made with the offender/visitor and he stated that they were arguing but he did not push the victim/patient off the bed. Officers did not observe any signs of a physical altercation. Neither party wanted to provide a written statement and the victim/patient declined to prosecute. If anyone has any other information please call AU Police Department at 706-721-2911.
