On 08/22/2019, at 1:00 PM, Augusta University Police responded to the Augusta University Medical Center (AUMC) 2nd floor Eye Clinic in reference to a report of Domestic Violence. The Officers made contact with the witness/employee. The witness/employee stated the victim/patient was disruptive because he did not want a medical procedure done. The witness/employee further stated that the offender/mother of the victim/patient struck him numerous times with an open and closed hand and she placed her knee into his chest to prevent him from moving in the chair. The offender/mother and the victim/patient left the area prior to Officers arrival at the request of the staff until another appointment could be made.
