On 09/17/2021, at 10:02 AM, Augusta University Police Officers responded to the Golf and Gardens located adjacent to the Cyber Center in reference to two people drinking alcohol. When the Officer arrived they located the offender/visitor. During the interaction the offender/visitor emptied his pants pockets and handed the Officers a small, black case. Further investigation showed the offender/visitor gave the Officers a false name, had an active warrant for a parole violation and had in his possession methamphetamine. The offender/visitor was taken into custody and processed in the Richmond County Jail. Anyone with additional information about this incident may contact the AU Police Department at 706-721-2911.
