On 03/01/2022 at 9:52 PM, Augusta University Police Officers responded to the Emergency Room at Augusta University Medical Center in reference to a drug complaint. Upon their arrival, they met with the complainant/employee who handed over a crystalline substance, believed to be methamphetamine, found in the clothing of the offender/patient. The offender/patient was being treated for injures sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Richmond County. The items were turned over to Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
