On 04/12/2022 at 9:28 AM, Augusta University (AU) Police Department (AUPD)Officers responded to the Emergency Room at Augusta University Medical Center in reference to a drug complaint. Upon their arrival, they met with the complainant/employee who handed over suspected narcotics (crystal like substance) found in the patient/offender’s clothing. AUPD Officers investigated and determined that the substance tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine. AUPD Officers obtained an arrest warrant for O.C.G.A. 16-13-30, Possession of Methamphetamine, against the offender/patient.
