On 04/14/2022 at 4:22 PM, Augusta University (AU) Police Department (AUPD) Officers responded to the AUPD Headquarters for a report of rape. Upon their arrival, they met with the complainant/student who reported that on 04/13/2022 at 10:00 PM she was abducted at gunpoint near the Dollar General (1900 block of Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, GA). The complainant/student reported the suspect, a male black with short black hair, approximately 5’7”, approximately 200 pounds, and may have been wearing a blue in color shirt, raped and robbed her before dropping her back off at her dormitory on campus. The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office (RCSO) responded to the AUPD to take the report and is actively investigating.
