On 02/09/2017, at 9:17 AM, Augusta University Police were dispatched to the AU Medical Center in reference to a theft of a chair from a waiting room. The subject was identified and instructed to return the chair. Officers made contact with the subject at the north entrance to AMUC. The subject was arrested for theft. A search of the subject discovered a green leafy substance in a plastic bag in the subject’s front right pants pocket, which tested positive for marijuana. The subject was processed and booked into the Richmond County Jail on the following charges: Criminal Trespass, Theft by Taking and Possession of Marijuana.
