On 03/02/2020, at 10:08 PM, Augusta University Police responded to the Augusta University Medical Center (AUMC), Emergency Room, in reference to an assault. The responding Officers found AUMC security fighting with the offender/patient. Once the offender/patient was restrained in handcuffs the victim/correctional officer reported the offender/patient attempted to remove his duty weapon from his holster. The victim/correctional officer further stated the offender/patient was unsuccessful in removing the weapon. Warrants were issued for the offender/patient.
