On 08/28/2021, at 04:27 AM, Augusta University Police Officers responded to the Augusta University Medical Center, Emergency Room, in reference to a drug violation. When the Officers arrived they met with the complainant/employee. The complainant/employee reported finding drugs in the offender/patient’s belongings. The items were collected for evidence and warrants were obtained naming the offender/patient as the offender. Due to the continued medical treatment the offender/patient was not taken into custody.
